G'day!
Curiosity brought you here.
Let's make it worth it.
MentalHealthIs A Skill
I'm Sam. I've sat in a lot of rooms where a psychologist turned up to talk about feelings and everyone quietly checked out. This isn't that. Mental health is a set of skills, and you can get good at them.

Mental Health Awareness
Workshop · tap the tiles
This workshop takes on the question: what actually is mental health? Starting from scratch we walk through stats about young Australians’ mental health and a clear picture of the mental health continuum from healthy to struggling. Stress, anxiety and depression, unpacked without the poster version and what they look like in real life. This workshop is plain language and not gimmicky.

Mental Health Conversations
Workshop · tap the tiles
This workshop is all about how to set up and have a mental health conversation. Things like what to say when someone you notice is struggling, and what to avoid. We use a four-part framework built on what genuinely helps people feel heard, including the things that feel supportive but actually shut the conversation down. We then take your language and practice it with scenarios. It can feel scary to have a mental health convo, but this workshop builds up confidence in what to do and where to get additional help.

Self Care And Onward Steps
Workshop · tap the tiles
This workshop focuses on the idea of self-care and boundaries, to avoid burn out. We answer questions like 'what to do when someone needs more than you've got?' and 'what to notice when that someone is you?' We look at how your own experiences shape how you respond, how to be a useful presence without burning out, and when to bring someone else in (like another friend, supporter or service).

Theory only goes so far.
Dot Arc Labs training is designed to be immediately applicable. Every session prioritises tools participants can use the moment they walk out the door.
Led by psychologist Sam Weily, each program is built around the actual needs of the people doing the work, co-designed where possible and honest about how hard the work can be.
Participants leave with tools they can put to use straight away.
We build from what's already working, for people, teams, and organisations.
Adapted to the specific sector, population, and team, never pulled off the shelf.
A trauma-informed lens runs through everything: escalation, culture, communication.
Built on current psychological research and evidence, not recycled tropes.
Priced around your context.
Every engagement is scoped individually. Format, duration, group size, and organisation type all shape what makes sense, so get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
