Mental Health Educator & ConsultantSam is a mental health educator based in Melbourne, designing and delivering training for the people who show up for young people every day.
His work spans national mental health campaigns, First Nations schools and communities, government agencies, and individual organisations. Programs are always built around the specific context, never delivered off the shelf.
The clinical grounding matters. With over 15 years working directly with young people in counselling and support settings, Sam knows how complex the work really is, and designs training that doesn't pretend otherwise.
Teaching this stuff is his jam. Warmth, directness, and a well-placed dad joke guaranteed. Sam founded Dot Arc Labs on the belief that good mental health education should be as rigorous as the work it prepares people for.
Skills before awareness
Awareness on its own doesn't change much. Every program is designed so participants leave with something they can actually use.
Honest about complexity
The work is complex. Training that pretends otherwise doesn't serve anyone. Sam's programs name the hard bits and stay with them.
